One day, the fine folks over at Pro-Tech Knives called us up and said, "Hey Monkey Edge, you want to have a RAD Pro-Tech CQC-7 with some Monkey Edge FRAG Pattern on it, or what?!?". Well okay, twist our arm, why dontcha! Seriously, when they approached us about doing a project, the CQC-7 was the natural choice for us to kick things off with. Of course, the Pro-Tech CQC-7 is an exemplary take on the classic design, precisely executed and with a fantastic feel in the hand. Their execution of Monkey Edge FRAG Pattern is equally top-tier, with a classic bolstered layout and strategic and selective implementation around the pocket clip. To finish things off, the classic Greaser Monkey is engraved on the clip-side.
Designed after the world renowned Emerson CQC-7, The Pro-Tech CQC- 7 Auto! The same classic ergos and design we all know and love now in a automatic format. The spearpoint blade deploys lightning fast and features a wear hiding stonewashed finish. The hard coat black anodized frame features Monkey Edge FRAG Pattern on both sides for some extra traction without being overly aggressive and killer looks. The recessed firing button prevents accidental firing, however with the milled relief, makes it easy to find and activate when needed. The butt-end features a machined lanyard hole for attaching a lanyard or bead.
The Frame: Aircraft grade aluminum with a matte black anodized finish, contrasting blasted hardware, and black deep carry pocket clip. Monkey Edge FRAG Pattern on both sides. Lanyard hole at the butt-end.
The Blade: Spearpoint blade profile with upper swedge and given a wear hiding stonewashed finish.
