Winkler Knives Axe: Ridge Line Hatchet

Taking cues from the legendary Winkler lineup and the real world needs of guys who are swinging these things for a living, The Ridge line hatchet borrows lessons from other WK axes and distills them into a compact and brutally efficient package. Rocking a wider cutting face with thinner stock for  better performance and balance, and a hooked butt spike for piercing and prying. The handle scales have been shortened to handle more abuse and it easy to wield gloved or not. The Blade: Convex ground with nice curve for maximized cutting edge length and finished with Caswell black oxide finish. End spike for piercing and prying. The Handle: Straight profile handle with palm swells and a hole for lanyard/hand strap. Shortened handle scales. Skeletonized tang for weight savings and optimal balancing. The Sheath: Kydex scabbard with soft liner and nylon snap loops. Shock cord retention system for fast deployment. Note: Winkler products are hand finished. Every scale has been hand contoured, and sculpting is done by hand. Additionally, materials vary a little bit, whether it be due to natural variations in wood, different batches of micarta or G10, or anything else.
