Forged from the salvaged alloys of a downed long-range recon ship and reverse engineered in the black zone labs of TAS Industries, the Tracer is a fixed blade built for operatives who don't expect to make it back but always do. Originally issued to forward units during the Iridium Conflict, the Tracer became infamous among zero-atmo insertion teams for its versatility in close quarters combat and field utility. The elongated spearpoint blade, with a deep plasma fuller and reinforced tip, was designed to pierce through synthetic armor and alien bio carapace alike. The blades nanocoating keeps it resistant to corrosive atmospheres and bloodborne pathogens from non-terrestrial species. The handle is straight off a wrecked gunship's internal plating with battle scarred titanium and carbon fiber with machined vents to keep weight down and grip high. Comes with a kydex sheath ready for your preferred mounting solution.
The Blade: Hollow ground spearpoint profile ground from CPM-3V with a coated tumbled finish, windowed, and unsharpened top swedge.
The Handle: Titanium scales with a patina'd finish and topped off with a carbon fiber slab with extra milled details.
TAS Knives are hand crafted by designer and maker Soso Tumasov from Tbilisi, Georgia (as in the country Georgia not the state). Many of Soso's pieces have an unique almost cyberpunk, futuristic apocalypse vibe to them, setting them apart from most of the blades you see on the market today. On top of the killer aesthetics, he also incorporates complex multi angle grind lines in his blades that truly show off his talent and dedication to the craft and is amazing at finishing common knife making materials such as titanium in a very innovative manner for an end result that stands out and execution that actually delivers.
